How I Got My Name
My sweet, lovable, adoring grandson used to call me Grumps. I know he must of had trouble with the word "Gramps," otherwise the name was totally inappropriate. When it came to developing my persona on the web, eGrumps, came quite naturally, although the use of the word "grumps" is much more fitting now, than then. I believe I mellowed into it. Little grandson is now 30, for a little kid back then, he certainly was a good judge of character.

International Women’s Day March

Saturday, March 7th,  is International Women’s Day. Big march expected in Westwood , CA, (a suburb of LA – home of the UCLA Bruins) lasting from about 11:00 AM until 7:30 PM. The organizers have not told us when there will be an International Men’s Day March, but such a march would probably not be considered to be PC. The environmentalists have told us that they are very concerned. The passionate speeches and demonstrations will generate a lot of heat, and that will, they say, contribute to global warming. Maybe that’s why there will be no International Men’s Day March – the earth could not take two such demonstrations in the same year. and, as usual, it’s ladies first.

Government Appointment

I was being considered for an appointment to a high ranking governmental post. After they audited my tax returns and records, and found nothing wrong, I was removed from consideration. Apparently they felt that if I couldn’t cheat on my taxes, I was unqualified for government work.
